Fun was had by all that attended the annual tailgate party and parade down main street of Rexburg. We painted the cars and danced in the parking lots of WalMart, KMart, Broulims, and Valley Wide. This is our big send off to Nationals that will be held in Las Vegas June 19-21.

Sabra, from the show So You Think You Can Dance, will be holding a workshop at the STARS National Dance Competition. The time is to be annouced. The cost is only $25.00. You can call the STARS National Office to register, limited space so call now, or you can go online to reserve your spot. Go to www.starsdance.com and click on catalog. It will be held on Thursday after solo compeition, it was going to held on Wednesday, however, they thought more dancers would be able to attend on Thursday instead. Go and register.
The Rockie Mountain STARS Dance Team will be attending the STARS Regional Dance Competition that will be held in Layton UT this weekend May 16th and 17th. Teams from 4 states will be in attendance. Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado, all trying to win the title of Regional Dance Champs.
The Rockie Mountain STARS Dance Team will have 5 soloists:

Rainee Gould
Tarrin Turner
Ellexis Swensen
Tashae, Rainee, and Samantha will be doing the queens dance, since they won Regional Dance Champs last year. Samantha won National Dance Champ last year.

The Rockie Mountain STARS won 2008 Idaho State Dance Champs and the honor of being the 2008 Regional Sportsmanship Team. We attended the STARS Regional Dance Compeition held in Layton UT.

Burgandie Hammer won district Assay Contest at school. She attends Arco Jr High. This past weekend Burgndie traveled to Boise where she competed in the State Assay Contest. Burgandie placed 2nd in the State. We are so proud of Burgandie.
The STARS Dance Team performed at the Homestead Assisted Living Center. The seniors loved the STARS. After performing the STARS gave each of the seniors a gift.
